A friend and I drove to Creative Arts from Augusta to get some clay and glazes. Steve and Teresa were SO helpful - we got everything we needed, and then some! I learned a lot from Teresa about glazes I’ve never tried before and have a load just bisqued waiting to try them. This is a friendly place with VERY knowledgeable owners who have great ideas and advice. We’ll be back for sure!

Wonderful place to go with significant other, friends or family! Super good prices and great calm atmosphere. Will definitely be going back all the time.

Wonderful shop with many ceramic selections. Offer snacks and drinks during your stay. I spent 2.5 hours there and had a great time! Helpful staff that walked me through the process. A well spent afternoon. You leave your ceramic there to be glazed. I went on a Friday and it was ready for pickup on Tuesday.

Since moving to the Bangor area, the Creative Arts Center in Brewer has quickly become one of my absolute favorite places to spend time. Their prices are incredibly reasonable, especially considering the huge selection of pieces they have available to paint. Whether you’re a total beginner or more experienced, there’s truly something for everyone. What really stands out is how passionate the staff is about making art accessible to all. They genuinely believe that creativity shouldn’t come with a high price tag, and it shows in everything they do—from the pricing to the welcoming atmosphere. They’ve also helped me learn different painting techniques I never would have tried on my own. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and always willing to take the time to explain any step or process in detail. I’ve learned so much just by asking questions while I paint. They also offer pottery making (I believe the proper term is wheel throwing and hand-building), again at a price that makes it easy for anyone to try. Calm and nice environment, welcoming owners who work there, many plates and mugs and other things you can choose among them to start painting. I am going there every week. Also, the prices are reasonable.
